To start off the term, Room 11 were asked to do some descriptive story writing.
On my drive to school on Tuesday morning, I stopped to admire the sunrise over the Mapua Village as the colours were simply breathtaking.
Here are some examples of what the children came up with:
Sunset
Sunset
Cloudy sky
Shadow of trees
A light breeze blows
When the car pulls over,
a beautiful view comes into sight
The fog is blanketing the orange sky
It is like a painting not
too bright not too dark
We take the picture
and travel on
Gentle breeze
Sunset

Winter Morning
Amazing
Sky glowing
Cars rumbling past
Crisp breeze blowing past
My breath clouds before me
Bird’s morning calls linger
Day closing in
Night departing
Amazing

As I’m driving along I notice the views and the sky. Amazing. The best I’d ever seen.
The small silhouette of the mountains in the distance and the sparkle of
the green ocean.
But the clouds are coming over, this view won’t last for long. I take out
the camera to capture the moment and never let it go again.

Sunrise Story
As I pass over the vast landscape I get the wondrous scent of the salty sea the gentle breeze flowing through my hair. I look off into the sunset, I think to myself, 'Not everything is as beautiful as this, I am just glad to live in a place as beautiful as nature itself.' The only thing that makes me happy is to see the swaying trees under a beautiful sunset, I can relate to the mountains , strong and calm, I guess this really is a place to call home.

Sun sagged down to the bottom of the hill
Up comes the moon
Night falls
Sun comes
Early morning rise
Today is going to a beautiful day
